Description
Experience a half-day adventure that combines nature, relaxation, and wildlife conservation. Begin with a scenic 20-minute drive to Kiang-Koo Waterfall, where you’ll join a peaceful bamboo rafting journey along the river, surrounded by lush forest and the soothing sounds of cascading water. Take a refreshing swim in the cool, clear pools before continuing your trip.
Next, visit the Sea Turtle Conservation Centre, set in a peaceful coastal location. The centre plays a vital role in protecting Thailand’s endangered sea turtles, particularly the Green Turtle. Here, eggs collected from nearby beaches are safely incubated, and hatchlings are raised in nursery tanks until they are strong enough to survive in the wild. Injured or sick turtles rescued from fishing nets or boat strikes are also treated and rehabilitated, with many eventually released back into the Andaman Sea. As you explore the shaded pools, you’ll see turtles of all ages – from tiny hatchlings paddling in shallow tanks to mature turtles recovering before their release – and learn how these efforts are helping restore local turtle populations.
