You’ll be met this morning at your hotel for the short drive to Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong station for your three hour train ride to Thailand’s Gulf Coast. You will travel in 2nd class with air-conditioned carriages and recliner seats.

Hua Hin station is one of the oldest in Thailand and has a striking Royal Waiting Room constructed for exclusive use of the King and his entourage. On arrival, transfer to your beachfront hotel.

This morning, enjoy a half day tour to the neighbouring province of Phetchaburi to visit Khao Wang, the regal hillside residence of former King Mongkut (King Rama IV), and the spectacular Khao Luang Cave.

The palace overlooks the city of Phetchaburi, the river that flows through its centre, and surrounding rice fields. On the edge of the city, the voluminous Khao Luang Cave has some remarkable stalactites hanging from its ceiling, as well as an impressive collection of Buddha images.

The rest of the afternoon and evening are yours at leisure, perhaps enjoying the hotel gardens and Hua Hin beach or testing your haggling skills at the night market.

After breakfast enjoy some free time before transferring to the station for the afternoon train back to Bangkok. On arrival, you will be driven to your hotel or the airport.
