Starting in Da Nang, you will visit a museum which houses an incredible collection of Cham artefacts, before heading out of the city to Non Nuoc beach which during the Vietnam War was a popular R&R stop for American troops. Continue to the five rocky outcrops known as the Marble Mountains where you can follow the paths to visit the caves and enjoy a panoramic view of the coastline.

After lunch in a local restaurant, take a walking tour around Hoi An’s pedestrian friendly streets. A UNESCO heritage site, this ancient trading town has beautifully preserved merchant houses, atmospheric temples and lively markets to explore. Sights you will see include the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge and the bustling riverfront, before transferring to your hotel.

Day 2 – Hue

The next day head through the beautiful coastal scenery of the Hai Van Pass to Hue….

The next day head through the beautiful coastal scenery of the Hai Van Pass to Hue. After lunch, take a boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, which with seven stories, is the tallest religious building in Vietnam. Continue to the Imperial Citadel which was built between 1804 to 1833 and remains the heart of the city. After a visit to the Long An Palace which houses the Royal Fine Art Museum, head to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Differing in style, emperor Tu Duc’s has very grand architecture to reflect his extravagant lifestyle, whilst Khai Dinh’s reflects a mix of European and Vietnamese styles. Afterwards it is time to transfer to the airport for your onward arrangements.
