Description
The UNESCO World Heritage old town of Hoi An is ideal for exploring on foot. Discover beautifully preserved old merchant houses, atmospheric temples and lively markets as you stroll through the back streets of this charming town. Visit the iconic 400-year-old Japanese Bridge and the busy waterfront, where colourful fishing boats sail along the Thu Bon River.
You will have time to shop for souvenirs in the many boutiques and galleries that line the narrow streets and there will be a visit to the market to find the well-known local cakes such as Banh It la Gai or Banh Dau Xanh. There is the option to take a short local boat ride along the Thu Bon River.
The final stop is a visit to a Tea House that supports disadvantaged youth. The majority of the staff are hearing impaired, making for a unique experience as you communicate your order by writing it down or using wooden blocks with words. Return by foot to your hotel.
