Hue is a city steeped in rich history particularly during the Nguyen Dynasty. The city boasts magnificent architectural works, temples and royal tombs with outstanding cultural and architectural values as a former capital city.

This half day tour begins with an interesting boat ride along the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda. Consisting of seven floors, the pagoda is the tallest religious building in Vietnam. Continue with a stroll to the Huong River Antique Pottery Museum, a private museum in a beautiful ancestral temple which houses ancient artefacts recovered from the Perfume River.

Continue to the Imperial Citadel; built between 1804 and 1833, this heavily fortified structure is still very much the heart of modern-day Hue and despite a chequered history, the fortress remains superbly intact.
