Day 3 – Halong Bay Cruise
Have a good breakfast before heading off on an overnight Halong Bay cruise where you will spend the night on a traditional Chinese junk boat. During your cruise, you will be able to see the huge limestone rocks which rise up out of the water and give the bay such an unusual appearance. You’ll have time to swim, snorkel or kayak in the tranquil waters before heading back to the boat for sunset and dinner.

Day 4 to 5 – Hue
Wake up early to see the sun rise and listen to the sounds of the waves gently lapping. The area is quite mystical in the early mornings as the rocks are often topped by mist and the early start is well worth it. There will be time for swimming or kayaking this morning before brunch and your return to Halong City where you disembark and travel back to Hanoi airport for your flight to Hue.
On arrival in Hue, you will be greeted and transferred to your chosen Hue hotel for the next two nights. You can spend your time in Hue sightseeing around the historic capital on a bicycle, cruising down the perfume river or visiting the Imperial Citadel, the centrepiece of the royal empire which was damaged throughout the Vietnam War.

Day 6 to 10 – Hoi An
Today you will travel over the famous Hai Van Pass on your way to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hoi An where your driver will drop you off at your chosen Hoi An hotel for the following five nights. Enjoy your time at leisure exploring the charming town of Hoi An, with excellent restaurants, bars and shops. You may also wish to visit the beach where you can relax and catch some sun.

Day 11 – Farewell
Enjoy your last glimpses of the regions beautiful scenery as you head back along the coast to Danang airport to catch your flight back to the UK.
