Since its opening in late 1959, Caravelle Saigon has been at the centre of historic and cultural events, notably hosting embassies and American news agencies during the Vietnam War. The hotel consists of two wings with the original 1959 Heritage Wing containing mainly suites as well as the famous Saigon-Saigon rooftop bar, and the higher rise Opera Wing where most of the hotel’s rooms are located.
