Day 3 to 4 – Halong Bay Cruise
After breakfast, head to the Vietnamese coast for a two night Halong Bay cruise, aboard a traditionally styled junk boat with en suite cabins and large picture windows.
During your cruise, you will be able to see the huge limestone rocks which rise up out of the water and give the bay such an unusual appearance.
This two night Halong Bay cruise, on a smaller vessel with a limited number of guests, offers a more relaxed, intimate and immersive experience then most one night options, and is able to reach the quieter Lan Ha Bay area.
Day 5 to 6 – Hue
Wake early to see the sunrise, the area is quite mystical in the early mornings as the rocks are often topped by mist. There will be time for swimming or kayaking before brunch and your return to Halong City, where you will disembark and travel to Hanoi airport for your flight to Hue.
The former imperial capital of Hue is situated on the banks of the Perfume River. During your time here you may like to visit sites such as Emperor Tu Duc’s elaborate tomb, the Imperial Palace, the Ancient Citadel and Thien Mu Pagoda.

Day 7 to 9 – Hoi An
This morning, travel by road to Hoi An, taking the scenic route over the Hai Van Pass. Enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery as you wind your way through the mountain roads and on to your chosen Hoi An hotel for three nights.
Enjoy your time at leisure exploring the charming heritage town of Hoi An with its characterful streets and excellent restaurants and shops. Alternatively, you may wish to simply relax by the beach and enjoy your hotel’s facilities.

Day 10 – First Class Train Journey to Quy Nhon
After an early breakfast at your hotel, head to Danang where your train awaits ready for its journey to Quy Nhon. The Vietage is a private first class carriage on the public rail service and accommodates just 12 guests on its scenic six hour journey.
As you travel through the lush landscapes and spectacular coastline of central Vietnam, experience the romance of rail travel offered by the Vietage. The booth seating offers a comfortable place to watch the world go by, there is a bar for socialising, and a quiet nook where you can enjoy a relaxing head and shoulder treatment. Also included is a three course meal and selected drinks, including beer and wine.
On arrival at Quy Nhon station, transfer to the Avani which overlooks a glorious, quiet beach surrounded by rocky headlands – the perfect place for some relaxation. The golden shores of Quy Nhon are off the beaten track and characterised by tranquil coves, verdant national parks and ancient temples.

Day 11 – Quy Nhon
Today you can relax on the beach or explore this interesting region on a tour. Why not snorkel or dive in the clear waters of Ky Co Island? Discover the ancient Cham ruins and temples? Or take a scenic hike to admire the sunset at Eo Gio (Wind Strait)?

Day 12 to 14 – Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your chosen Ho Chi Minh City hotel. With central locations available, you will have no problem visiting the most famous attractions including Ben Thanh Market, the Opera House, the Hotel de Ville and the Saigon River. For something a little further afield, ask your Travel Cnsultant about our day tours to the Mekong Delta or the famous Cu Chi Tunnels.
