Day 2 – Hanoi
Spend the day discovering Hanoi’s must-visit sites including the infamous Hoa Lo Prison and Don Xuan Market. Walk through the crowded streets of the city’s Old Quarter, pay a visit to the Temple of Literature and the historical St Joseph’s Cathedral before stopping by Hoan Kiem Lake, situated in the heart of the city and enjoying a wonderful afternoon nearby. At the Ho Chi Minh quarter, see the Mausoleum where the former leader lies in state, the Presidential Palace and One Pillar Pagoda.

Day 3 – Ninh Binh
Drive from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. With its natural beauty, shadowed by the many jungle covered karsts, visit the vine-covered structures of Hoa Lu. Venture through the expansive network of caverns and grottos in Trang An, as you glide along in a paddle boat.

Day 4 – Halong Bay
Drive from Ninh Binh to Halong Bay, one of Vietnam’s stunning natural wonders. Board a beautifully appointed junk boat and begin to cruise the impressive emerald waters of Halong Bay. Day 5 – Halong to Hue

Day 6 – Hue

Day 7 – Hoi An
Visit by bike the technicolour Tam Thanh village that explodes with colour around every corner. Experience local life with a visit to the Thanh Dong Organic Farm and learn the traditional farming methods adopted by this village. Chat with the local farmers, take part in farming activities and gain a deeper understanding into the farm-to-table concept with ingredients for their meals harvested directly from the farm. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour to some of the main sites of Hoi An.

Day 8 – Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels
After breakfast, take a short drive to Danang to fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. This afternoon continue your journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Discover the vast network of underground tunnels and their importance during the war. Return to Ho Chi Minh City and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 9 – Mekong Delta
From Ho Chi Minh City, travel south to the Mekong Delta and experience the vibrant scenes and rural villages of Vietnam’s ‘rice bowl’. Further explore the vast maze of rivers, canals and islands and the riverside villages as you make your way to Can Tho, the main city of the Mekong Delta.

Day 10 – Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh City
An early morning departure from your hotel takes you to Cai Be floating market. Board a traditional boat at the local Cai Be pier and start cruising along the floating market while sampling tropical fresh fruits. Disembark the boat temporarily to explore deeper about the local life by visiting the town’s business and craft factories. A leisurely sampan ride through canals is followed by a stop at an ancient house where a delicious home hosted lunch with Mekong’s specialties awaits.
After lunch, continue to cruise upstream the Mighty Mekong toward Vinh Long. Along the way, you will observe the typical Mekong Delta rural local life with stops at a local brick & pottery making factory and a floating fish farm before we take you back to the mainland where your car already waiting to take you back to Can Tho for overnight.

Take part in a morning Ho Chi Minh city guided walking tour. Enjoy these last moments in Ho Chi Minh City before you transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
