There’s no better way to get to know a region than through its food and wine – and from day one, you’ll do exactly that. Just 90 minutes after departing Adelaide, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the Clare Valley, one of South Australia’s most celebrated wine regions. Here, the cellar door at Knappstein Wines awaits, inviting you to sample its acclaimed Riesling alongside other memorable vintages.

From rolling vineyards, your journey continues to Port Augusta, where the wide harbour meets the shimmering Spencer Gulf. This evening, gather with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for dinner, raising a glass to the adventures ahead on your Eyre Peninsula journey.

Kimba may be small in size, but it’s big on character. You can’t miss the eight-metre-tall Big Galah keeping watch over the Eyre Peninsula, or the town’s silos – transformed into towering works of art by visionary muralists. Enjoy an inspiring stop along the silo art trail before heading deeper into colourful countryside.

Here, Pildappa Rock awaits – a striking granite formation shaped over 1.5 billion years. Its sweeping, wave-like crest rises above rich pindan soil, casting pink ripples across the landscape in the shifting light.

Ceduna, tucked into a sheltered inlet on the Eyre Peninsula, is the kind of place you could explore for weeks – but today is a feast for the senses. Begin with a trip down the coast to Smoky Bay, where a harbour cruise offers the chance to spot playful dolphins and graceful sea lions. Then, savour freshly shucked oysters and local wine over a shared lunch in a working oyster shed.

In the afternoon, travel to Streaky Bay to wander along its dramatic cliff tops, the ocean stretching endlessly before you, before returning to Ceduna for dinner at your hotel.

This stretch of South Australia’s coastline is nothing short of pristine. Begin with the Cape Bauer Loop Scenic Drive, where you’ll visit the Whistling Rocks and Blowholes, and take in sweeping views over Hally’s Beach.

The drama continues inland at Murphy’s Haystacks, a collection of ancient, wind-worn pillars and boulders that seem to rise magically from the earth, before heading to Talia Caves – honeycombed granite formations framing the shoreline. Then, stretch your legs along the Elliston Coastal Trail at Little Bay, where rugged cliffs and wild seas create one of the Eyre Peninsula’s most striking coastal vistas. Your day ends in Port Lincoln, your base for the next two nights.

This morning, venture to Coffin Bay for a Wild Yarnbala experience that immerses you in nature’s bounty. Wander through off-grid organic orchards and gardens, tasting bush tucker and learning the art of water divining, before relaxing to the sounds of didgeridoo and lap steel guitar while sipping gin infused with botanicals you’ve just gathered.

Then, step into waterproof waders for a hands-on oyster farm tour. Slurp freshly shucked oysters straight from the sea, before settling onto the deck overlooking stunning Coffin Bay to enjoy a sumptuous seafood platter. Later, return to Port Lincoln for a guided tour of the town, before relaxing at your waterfront hotel for the evening.

Begin the day with a splash of colour as you compare the towering silo murals of Kimba and Tumby Bay, the latter brought to life by renowned artist Martin Ron. Continue to the Lucky Bay Jetty and board the Spencer Gulf Searoad, cruising across the gulf to Wallaroo.

Just when you think your journey through South Australia couldn’t get any more vivid, you arrive at Bumbunga Pink Lake – a shimmering spectacle that shifts from soft pastels to bold bubble-gum and deep lipstick hues, depending on the salinity.
