Today you travel towards the far-eastern mining district of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Since 1893 this region has produced more than 50 million ounces of gold, making it one of only four districts in the world to reach this milestone. On arrival this afternoon, enjoy a town tour followed by a visit to the impressive Super Pit mine. Nearly 600 metres deep, 3.5 km long and 1.5 km wide, it is one of Australia’s largest open-cut gold mines.
