Kangaroo Island is the largest island off the South Australian coast and shows nature at its wildest and most majestic in a magical combination of sun and sea, native flora and fauna.
Sea Dragon Kangaroo Island is one of the premier properties on the island, and overlooks the beautiful Pink Bay at the eastern tip of the island. Your luxurious bedroom will have a private open air deck that faces the sea, with opportunities to relax and spot wildlife at the same time.
Your afternoon is at leisure to relax on your deck, explore the one of the walking trails through the bush, or even take a dip in the secluded bay below the lodge. In the evening there is a two-course dinner created from local produce served in the lodge dining room.

Day 2 – Kangaroo Island Nature Tour
After a premium continental breakfast, you’ll be met at Sea Dragon at around 09:00 by your guide for the day, for a in-depth small group tour of the island’s diverse natural attractions and ecosystems.
Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as you travel towards your first stop, Seal Bay Conservation Park, which is home to the third largest colony of endangered Australian sea lion (there’s only an estimated 11,200 left in the wild). Walk through the striking sand dune system and along the pristine beach with your guide and a knowledgeable Park Ranger for approximately an hour, learning all about these beautiful mammals.
Next, keep an eye out for Rosenberg goannas lazing in the sun on the way to the famous Flinders Chase National Park, where you can see the stunning rejuvenation of native bush species from the 2019/20 bushfires. A stop at Remarkable Rocks will give you the first views of the rugged coastline in this diverse National Park.
After a picnic lunch, you will visit Cape Du Couedic, Weirs Cove and Admirals Arch, and learn from your guide about the early maritime history of this wild environment. You’ll have a great chance to spot other native species including long-nosed fur seals, echidnas, kangaroos, tammar wallabies and a range of birds and reptiles.
On the return to Sea Dragon there will be an opportunity to stop for a swim or a short walk at one of the many picturesque beaches (weather permitting). After arriving back at the lodge around 17:30, there will be time to freshen up before dinner.

Day 3 – A Taste of Kangaroo Island
After a leisurely breakfast at Sea Dragon, Depart with your guide at approximately 10:00 on the small group “Taste of Kangaroo Island Tour”. The next hours are spent visiting a variety of venues specialising in food and drink production.
The specific locations will vary depending on time of year, seasonal produce, operating hours and other operational factors, however a highlight of the day is no doubt a tour of KI Spirits, Australia’s first dedicated gin distillery, where you will learn about the native botanicals that go into the specially crafted spirit, followed by tastings and lunch in the garden (with non-alcoholic options available).
Other locations visited in the day can include: an organic honey farm to learn about Ligurian bees and taste their honey, an island brewery for a tasting paddle of their craft beer, or a visit to Emu Bay Lavender Farm, home to an estimated 7,500 plants.
You’ll return back to Sea Dragon mid-afternoon, with time at leisure before a two-course dinner, including local produce, will be served in the lodge dining room in the evening.

Day 4 – Farewell Kangaroo Island
