Description
Board your catamaran in Hervey Bay Marina for a safety briefing, before you take a scenic sail to the fascinating sand dune island of K’gari (previously Fraser Island).
Your first stop on the island’s untouched west coast is Wathumba Creek, a natural wonder that becomes an ocean lake at high tide. Snorkel in its crystal clear waters and discover marine life like turtles and stingrays. You can also take a stroll along the pristine beaches, or simply relax on its soft sands.
Then, take a kayak tour into K’gari’s hinterland, through the freshwater of Awinya Creek, traversing lush mangroves. Then, you can hop aboard a tube for a thrilling ride.
Your final stop is Bowarrady Creek, where you’ll climb up an ancient sand dune for panoramic views of K’gari. Cool off in a secluded natural waterhole, before heading back to Hervey Bay on the catamaran.
During the day, you’ll be served morning tea, a buffet lunch and afternoon tea. Please note that the route may change due to the tides, but this only makes your adventure more exciting!
