Day 5 to 7 – Melbourne
Fly direct from Dubai to Melbourne, for three nights in Australia’s ‘sporting and cultural capital’.
Fuel up with a flat white (it was invented in Oz) and oven-fresh pastry at Queen Victoria Market, then wander through the city’s historic arcades and laneways towards Flinders Street, checking out the urban art along Hosier Lane.
Cross the Yarra River to admire a few more traditional pieces at the NGV International, or to explore the ever-impressive Royal Botanic Gardens, then ride the tram to the laidback beachside suburb of St. Kilda. There’s so much to do in Melbourne!
Please ask if you would like to add a day tour to Phillip Island or the Great Ocean Road to your itinerary.
Your chosen Melbourne hotel
Day 8 to 11 – Sydney
Fly from Melbourne to Sydney, for a four night stay.
Sydney’s compact layout means the city can easily be explored by foot, or for a more impressive view, onboard a harbour cruise.
Further afield a visit to the impressive Blue Mountains and indulgent Hunter Valley are recommended.
Your chosen Sydney hotel
Day 12 & 13 – Brisbane
Fly from Sydney to Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland. Spend the day exploring the city’s Botanical Gardens and walk along the vibrant Southbank.
Your chosen Brisbane hotel
Day 14 – Glass House Mountains
Collect your hire car and enjoy the picturesque drive from Brisbane to Australia’s Sunshine Coast.
We’ve suggested staying in the welcoming resort town of Noosa, though both Mooloolaba and Caloundra have equally stunning beaches and a good choice of hotels.
En route you may want to explore the Glass House Mountains, a series of ancient volcanic peaks, rising from the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
Alternatively, you could follow the Blackall Range Tourist Drive, stopping at Mapleton Falls or Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve.
Your chosen Sunshine Coast hotel
Day 15 to 17 – Sunshine Coast
You have three full days to do as much or as little as you please!
Along the coastal trails in Noosa National Park you’ll have a great chance of spotting a koala, and from the beach, dolphins frolicking out at sea.
A little further north is one of only two everglades systems in the world, through which you can silently glide on a sunset cruise.
Your chosen Sunshine Coast hotel
Day 18 – Farewell from Brisbane
Drive back to Brisbane this morning and return your car to the airport before boarding your flight home.
