Take a refreshing swim on the Main Beach, or walk along the lush bushy headlands through the Noosa National Park to witness an abundance of wildlife with stunning views along the way.
Day 3 – Hervey Bay
This morning continue north to the seaside town of Hervey Bay. Often referred to as the ‘Jewel’ in Queensland’s crown and the whale watching capital of the world, it is also the departure point to the iconic Fraser Island. Here you may get a chance to spot some whales, and if you are feeling adventurous, head across to the world’s largest sand island itself for a thrilling 4×4 tour, before heading back to Hervey Bay for the night.
Day 4 – Agnes Water
This morning head back north along the Isis Highway towards Agnes Water. Your journey will take you through the lush green cane fields by Bundaberg, a quintessential Australian town famous for its award-winning rum distillery and its local, family owned ginger beer company, both of which you can stop by for a tour or to pick up a bottle.
It’s then just an hour and a half onto Agnes Water, a wonderful place to spend an afternoon relaxing by the ocean’s edge and enjoying the town’s welcoming hospitality.
Day 5 – Rockhampton
This morning make your way to Rockhampton. Here you can enjoy the Botanical Gardens, Capricorn Caves and Keppel Bay, or if time permits, explore the Eungella National Park. Here you can get up close to some of Australia’s great wildlife at the Billabong Sanctuary. In the evening be sure to enjoy the long beach front esplanade known as the ‘Strand’.
Day 9 – Mission Beach
Continue this morning following the picturesque Queensland coast line to Mission Beach.
