Expand AllYou can customise your holiday by adding extra nights or destinations. Just let us know what you would like to do.
On arrival into Brisbane transfer south of the city, to the famous Gold Coast. Home to excellent surfing beaches, shops, theme parks and an array of bars, fine restaurants and nightlife, your time in the Gold Coast will be fun-packed and will offer a true taste of Australian lifestyle.
For beach lovers you can either relax and enjoy the sunshine on Broadbeach or learn to surf like a pro on Burleigh Beach. Just back from the promenade you sample the finest fusion cuisine next to the yachts at Southport or enjoy the thrills of the rides at Dreamworld, Whitewater World or Movie World.
Heading inland you explore the bush around Lamington National Park, following the many signed trails and suspended bridges in the tree canopy. For an animal encounter then Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo enables you to cuddle a koala or go face to face with a saltwater crocodile.
Day 7 to 13 – Cairns
Fly from Brisbane up the Queensland coast to the tropical resort of Cairns. From here, the Great Barrier Reef is on your doorstep so discover this natural wonder with an included day-cruise to discover the colourful corals and tropical fish that reside on the reef. You can soon fill your days with lots of similar experiences, but remember to sit back and relax on one of the local beaches as well.
Whilst exploring the Coral Sea why not spend the day on a paradise island. Day tours to Green Island and Frankland Island provide the perfect locations to get away from it all. Alternatively you could settle for a dinner cruise on board a yacht as you cruise around Trinity Inlet.
Travel to the north, through the lush vegetation of the Daintree Rainforest to visit Cape Tribulation, or explore the spectacular Mossman Gorge with an Aboriginal Guide. Then travel west to the Atherton Tablelands stopping for a locally-grown coffee at Mareeba before calling off under the spectacular Millaa Millaa waterfall.
Day 14 – Farewell
Say a reluctant farewell to North Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef as you transfer back to Cairns Airport today for your flight home or on to your next destination.
