This morning, the Indian Pacific arrives in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, a landscape of sandstone cliffs and eucalypt valleys. After breakfast, you have a choice of three off-train experiences:

  • Scenic World & Echo Point – glide over the forest in the Scenic Cablecar, and ride the world’s steepest passenger railway, all before lunch and wine at Echo Point Lookout
  • Blue Mountains Discovery Trail – join a guided 3 km guided bushwalk along the Prince Henry Cliff path to Echo Point, where a light lunch awaits
