A short train ride from Perth takes you to Fremantle where you can visit the historic prison or peruse the local markets (open Friday to Sunday), and on the way back, stop at the beautiful Cottesloe Beach.

And don’t leave Perth without visiting Kings Park, which is home to a wonderful botanic garden with over 3,000 species of flora found in Western Australia.

Make your way back to the airport today for your flight to Sydney.

Here you’ll be staying at the Adina Sydney Town Hall, a fabulous apartment hotel in the city centre. The bars and restaurants of King Street Wharf in Darling Harbour are around a 15 minute walk, and the Royal Botanic Garden just over 20 minutes, via Hyde Park.

The Adina has a semi-indoor heated pool and fully equipped gym.

There is so much to see in Sydney! Once you’ve posed for the compulsory photo on the steps of the Opera House and popped into the impressive Australian Museum, you can choose one of these activities, included in your holiday:

• Sydney Harbour lunch cruise – a two-course meal with drinks and fabulous views included
• Sydney Opera House backstage tour – stand on the stage and walk through the Orchestra Pitt!
• Blue Mountains day tour – a landscape of sandstone cliffs and eucalypt valleys

The next day, why not ride the ferry from Circular Quay to the gorgeous beach, and laid-back bars and restaurants of Manley? Or follow the 6 km coastal path from Bondi Beach to Coogee, complete with golden beaches and stunning cliff-top views?

Make your way to the airport for your flight from Sydney up Australia’s East Coast to Cairns, where you’ll be staying at the laid back Riley Urban Room for the next six nights.

Cairns is the gateway to the ancient Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef, but for tonight we suggest just a stroll along the Esplanade to nod to the locals and appreciate the warm tropical air. You’ll pass plenty of coffee shops and eateries as you walk.

Included in your holiday is a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef, which you can go on today, or later in your trip if preferred.

Aboard the stylish superyacht, Evolution, you’ll travel to two locations on the Outer Great Barrier Reef where you can snorkel or dive above the colourful coral gardens, or enjoy a semi-submersible boat tour if you don’t fancy getting wet.

A typically Aussie BBQ lunch is provided on board, as well as cheese and biscuits on the way back to port.

As well as enjoying flat whites by the sea front or cocktails by the pool, you can choose one of the following three activities, included in your holiday:
