Welcome to Australia! With four days to explore, of course pay a visit to the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, perhaps taking a backstage tour.

There are a whole host of museums, galleries, parks and gardens to explore during your stay. Why not take a stroll through the Royal Botanic Garden that borders the Harbour and connects you to the historic Rocks district. The coastal walk from Bondi to Coofee takes about two hours, and offers striking views of the coastline’s cliffs and rock formations throughout.

If you have a spare day, you may like to venture out to the Blue Mountains, around 90-minutes’ drive from the city but boasting an entirely different landscape: eucalyptus forest, sandsone escarpments and views across the Jamison Valley. The Hunter Valley is similarly accessible from Sydney, boasting world-class wineries and peacful vineyards.

Great Barrier Reef Cruise, Cairns, Queensland, Australia

Day 7 to 13 – North Queensland

Fly direct from Ayers Rock to Cairns this afternoon and spend a week relaxing amongst rainforest…

Fly direct from Ayers Rock to Cairns this afternoon and spend a week relaxing amongst rainforest and palm-fringed beaches. Cairns itself is a laid-back low-rise town rather than a resort, and it is the perfect base for exploring tropical North Queensland: the Great Barrier Reef is 45 minutes offshore by fast catamaran, and the Daintree Rainforest is an hour’s drive north.

On a day of your choice, we have included a cruise to the Outer Great Barrier Reef, aboard the luxury yacht, Evolution. Snorkelling equipment is provided so you can explore the vibrant coral gardens up close. Alternatively, if you would prefer not to get wet, you can join a 20 minute semi-submersible tour led by an expert in the local marine life. A delicious BBQ lunch is served on board.

Away from the Great Barrier Reef, a day in the ancient Daintree Rainforest comes highly recommended, as does a tour of the Atherton Tablelands, where you can take a dip in the waters beneath Millaa Millaa Falls or try to spot a platypus at Yungaburra Creek! Please ask your Travel Consultant for options.
