Pick up your hire car this morning and drive south from Adelaide through the  beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jarvis to catch the ferry to Kangaroo Island.

The largest island off the South Australian coast, Kangaroo Island offers a magical combination of sun, sea and native flora and fauna. The coastline of the island changes from the attractive curved beach at Emu Bay to the rugged cliffs and roaring surf of the south.

You have the best part of two days to explore this wildlife haven. Flinders Chase National Park is a must, where you’ll find the Remarkable Rocks, Weirs Cove and Admiral Arch, but you may also want to visit Kelly Hill Caves, “Koala Walk” and Seal Bay Conservation Park, where you can walk amongst sea lions.
