Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Perth

(Tuesday) On arrival into Perth, settling into your central accommodation and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore this ever evolving riverfront city. Relax on the banks of Elizabeth Quay and watch the world go by or enjoy the impressive vantage point gained of the city from the lofty heights of Kings Park.

Day 2 - Margaret River

Your journey of indulgence begins with a picturesque drive south to the fabulous Margaret River.

You’ll enjoy stops along the way including Mandurah for a coffee break by the foreshore and a visit to Bunbury’s Featured Wood Gallery and Museum. At Busselton walk off your delicious lunch with a stroll along the longest timber jetty in the southern hemisphere. After some free time to browse
the shops and galleries in the Margaret River township, it’s time to
head to your accommodation for the night.

Day 3 - Margaret River

Today is a sensory overload of wonderful food, wine and scenery as you indulge in the regional produce such as wine, craft beer, coffee, olive oil and chocolate with the various esteemed local producers.

Day 4 - Perth

Head to Redgate Beach to hear stories of the shipwrecks that lie offshore, then head underground to explore the spectacular Mammoth Cave. Next stop, majestic Boranup Forest dominating by 60-metre tall karri trees, and a tour of the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, Cape Leeuwin, before stopping for lunch in Augusta.

After free time in browse the shops and galleries in the Margaret River township, it’s time to head back to your Perth accommodation.

Day 5 - Rottnest Island

Today board the Rottnest Express to unique, diverse Rottnest Island, 22km offshore. A 90-minute air-conditioned coach tour around ‘Rotto’ takes you to some spectacular locations, including Wadjemup Lighthouse and the boardwalk lookout at the rugged West End. Enjoy a delicious lunch before exploring the island at your leisure (make sure you see a quokka).
Return to Perth by ferry in the afternoon.

Day 6 - Indian Pacific

This morning depart Perth on the Indian Pacific. Settle into your cabin and relax in the Explorer Lounge before your late night arrival into the Golden Outback region.

Day 7 - Indian Pacific Nullarbor Plain

Wake up to sunrise on the Nullarbor from the comfort of your cabin. Take time to relax and watch Australia become a moving postcard and sample the regionally inspired food over breakfast, lunch and dinner on board Today’s excursion is a unique visit to the ghost town of Cook, home to just 4 inhabitants.

Day 8 - Indian Pacific Adelaide & Broken Hill

The rich ochre sands make way for forests and farmland as you arrive into the South Australian capital of Adelaide.  A city highlights tour is included before continuing your onward rail journey to Sydney via the frontier mining town of Broken Hill for a choice of off train excursions that showcase the town’s rich mining, artistic and cinematic legacy.

Day 9 - Indian Pacific Blue Mountains & Sydney

Tuck into a hearty breakfast on board before arriving into the heart of the Blue Mountains to explore this renowned world-heritage listed National Park. View the famous Three Sisters rock formation and experience the world’s steepest railway at Scenic World.

Continue on to Sydney to complete your epic transcontinental crossing.
