(Friday) Travel from Adelaide on the Great Southern and settle into your cabin accommodation. Arrive into the Grampians – one of Australia’s most stunning wilderness regions. Admire the towering sandstone mountains, marvel at the diverse fauna and flora and look out for the native wildlife including echidnas and wallabies.

Your first day culminates with an off-train dinner where you’ll enjoy local produce and regional wines in a uniquely Grampians setting before returning to the train for the night.

Onboard

Wake up to a hearty breakfast on board as you travel through Victoria’s countryside before exploring the landmarks of the nation’s capital. On arrival in Canberra you will have a choice of an off train excursion. Choose to tour the capital’s must see iconic institutions including a choice of the National War Memorial, Parliament House, National Gallery of Australia and National Museum of Australia. Alternatively embark on a food and wine trail of the regions with a tour to the Southern Tablelands and wine regions.

After a day of touring, return to the Great Southern train for a delicious dinner and drinks in the lounge before settling down for the night.

Onboard

Enjoy breakfast on board before heading off for a relaxing morning at the picturesque coastal town of Coffs Harbour where you can choose one of four off-train excursions available including relaxing on Coff’s beautiful beach, a tour to Forest Sky Pier or a round of golf at the Bonville Golf Resort.

After your morning by the ocean, enjoy a final lunch on board with your fellow travellers before arriving into Brisbane.
