Your Rail Journey
Travelling eastbound on the Indian Pacific, watch the rolling green pastures north of Adelaide give way to the rusty red hues of the Outback as you head towards the border between South Australia and New South Wales.
Crossing the border during the night, you’ll wake up in Broken Hill, where you’ll enjoy breakfast and a morning excursion. With lunch and dinner later onboard.
Wake up in the heart of the Blue Mountains, where can either disembark for an excursion to Echo Point Lookout for stunning views of the Three Sisters and Jamison Valley, before continuing to Sydney on a private charter NSW Train Link, or remain on board the Indian Pacific to arrive into Sydney earlier.

A choice of Gold or Platinum Service is available on the Indian Pacific train between Adelaide and Sydney.
Platinum Service
Travel in Platinum Service on the Indian Pacific to enjoy:
- A stylishly appointed cabin that converts from a private lounge by day, to a comfortable bedroom by night, with a double bed or twin beds
- Expansive windows on either side of the train
- Full size ensuite shower room
- All-inclusive dining in the exclusive Platinum Club Car
- Beverages including Australian wines, beers and spirits
- 90 kg luggage allowance per guest
- Hotel or airport transfers at the start and end of your rail journey, up to 60 km from the rail terminal

Gold Service
Travel in Gold Service on the Indian Pacific to enjoy:
- A private single or twin cabin with comfortable seating that converts into a single, or upper and lower berth at night
- Ensuite facilities in twin cabins, shared facilities for single cabins

- All-inclusive dining in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant
- Beverages, including Australian wines, beers and spirits
- 60 kg luggage allowance per guest
2025 & 2026 Departures
The Indian Pacific Adelaide to Sydney train is scheduled to operate year round in 2025 and 2026, departing every Monday.

- Tuesday 07:10 – Arrive Broken Hill | Morning experience
- Wednesday 08:00 – Arrive Blue Mountains

- Wednesday 13:15 – Depart Katoomba on NSW Train Link (private charter)
- Wednesday 15:15 – Arrive Sydney

- Wednesday 08:15 – Depart Blue Mountains on the Indian Pacific
