(Tuesday) Upon arriving in Sydney, head to your centrally located hotel. Perhaps spend the afternoon wandering some of the main sights, like the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the Botanic Gardens, and you may like to enjoy dinner overlooking the Harbour.

Day 2 – Indian Pacific Train
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Sydney, before heading to Sydney’s Central Station for mid-afternoon, ready to embark on your Indian Pacific train journey from Sydney to Perth.
Settle into your chosen cabin, and get to know your fellow passengers, as the train begins to head West. This afternoon, you can enjoy some stunning views as you pass through the Blue Mountains.
Savour a regionally inspired dinner, paired with fine wines, then perhaps you’d like to unwind in the lounge with a nightcap, before you retire to your cabin.

Day 3 – Broken Hill & Adelaide
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on board, before you arrive at Broken Hill, the ‘Silver City’, for your first off-train experience. Here, there are a range of experiences on offer.
Explore its mining heritage at the Trades Hall and Miners Memorial, or enjoy a colourful tour of the main street with local Drag Queen, Shelita Buffet. Art lovers can visit the Living Desert Sculptures or the regional art gallery, while nostalgia seekers sip malted milk at Bells Milk Bar, accompanied by a retro performance from Cindy and Johnny. Lunch is served on board as the Indian Pacific passes the Flinders Ranges.
In Adelaide, choose from off-train experiences: explore the South Australian Museum, tour the Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale for wine tastings, sample cheeses or gin in Hahndorf, or enjoy a market tour and dinner at Adelaide Central Markets. Return to the train for the onward journey west.

Day 4 – Nullarbor Plain
Today, soak in stunning outback views as you traverse the iconic Nullarbor Plain on the world’s longest straight railway track. Along the way, the Indian Pacific stops at Cook, a near-ghost town once vital to the railway.
Your next stop is remote Rawlinna, on the edge of Australia’s largest sheep station for a bonfire and a signature dinner under the stars (seasonal).

Day 5 – Perth
Enjoy a final breakfast as you take in the rolling landscapes of the Avon Valley, approaching Perth. After arrival, transfer to your accommodation and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Why not relax on the banks of Elizabeth Quay and watch the world go by or enjoy the impressive vantage point gained of the city from the lofty heights of Kings Park.

Day 6 – Perth to Margaret River
Begin your day with a scenic drive to the Margaret River region. Stop in Mandurah for a coffee by the foreshore, visit the Featured Wood Gallery in Bunbury, and stroll Busselton’s famous timber jetty after a delicious lunch.
Next, indulge at the Margaret River Chocolate Company, then head to Surfers Point to see where the river meets the ocean. In Prevelly, discover its wartime ties to Crete and visit the Greek memorial chapel.
End the day at your coastal accommodation, with the evening free for leisure. Your guide will offer suggestions.

Day 7 – Margaret River
Today, explore the region’s stunning natural and cultural attractions. Start with a visit to Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and Mammoth Cave, home to 50,000-year-old megafauna remains.
Take a scenic drive through Boranup Karri Forest, with towering 65m trees, seasonal wildflowers, and native birdsong. Then head to Hamelin Bay, known for its friendly stingrays and the ruins of its old timber jetty. In Augusta, visit the historic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet, and enjoy a guided tour. Lunch will be at either The Colour Patch or Hamelin Bay Wines, offering delicious meals with scenic views.
This afternoon, explore Margaret River town before returning to your accommodation. The evening is yours to enjoy, with dinner at your own arrangement.

Day 8 – Margaret River to Perth
Leaving the Margaret River Region, travel to Busselton on Geographe Bay and walk the famous 1.7 kilometre jetty – the longest in Australia. Travel north passing through the port city of Bunbury, Australind to Mandurah for a fish and chip lunch on the beach before continuing onto Fremantle.
Enjoy a sights tour before joining the Rottnest Express ferry to Rottnest Island. Soak up the amazing scenery, fascinating wildlife and ancient history of the island over a two night stay.

Day 9 – Rottnest Island
Today explore Rottnest Island, renowned for its 63 stunning beaches and home to the cute little quokka! After a leisurely start, take an informative bus tour around the island’s famous landmarks and locations. After lunch there is time to relax in your resort before dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day 10 – Farewell
After breakfast it is time to board the ferry back to Fremantle and onto Perth for your onward journey or choose to linger longer in the Western Australia capital.
