Your Rail Journey

Travelling westbound, the Indian Pacific winds through the majestic Blue Mountains, before dropping down to the lush pastures of New South Wales. After dinner and a night on board, you will wake amongst the iconic rusty red landscapes of the Australian Outback.

The train stops in Broken Hill, where you can disembark for a guided tour exploring the mining history and unique culture of the town. Lunch is served back on board as you pass the southern tip of the Flinders Ranges en route to Adelaide, where you can enjoy a tour of the town or out to the Barossa Valley.

After your second night on board, wake up in the Nullarbor Plain; mile upon mesmerising mile of orange tinted bushland all around. Enjoy a relaxing day on the train, before stopping in the remote settlement of Rawlinna for drinks and canapes under a million stars (during cooler months).

A third night on board follows, with breakfast served as you glide through the cool green vales of the Avon Valley on your way to Perth, arriving after lunch.
