Your Rail Journey
The Spirit of Queensland offers a comfortable and convenient way of travel from the tropics of Northern Queensland to the picture-perfect Whitsundays. Travel in either direction and watch the sugar cane fields, dramatic peaks and coastal scenes unfold.
Whichever direction you choose to travel, a complimentary coach transfer will take you from Proserpine Station to the lively coastal resort of Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. From here you can stay on the mainland and enjoy day sailing excursions to famous Whitehaven Beach and neighbouring islands or make the most of your time in the region by staying on one of the island resorts. Daydream, Hayman and Hamilton Island all offer a range of accommodation options to suit every budget.
