Adelaide
South Australia’s capital city is eclectic and enchanting. You’ll find delicious food and fine wine, great shopping and outdoor activities. Wander round Adelaide Central Market, or get lost in the city’s side streets.
Adelaide is home to a wealth of museums, and the Botanic Gardens are well worth a visit. Venture to Glenelg for stretching white sands, just minutes outside of Adelaide.
South Australia
South Australia boasts some of the country’s most diverse landscapes.
Just a short ferry ride away from Adelaide, you’ll find aptly named Kangaroo Island. With a dramatic, rugged coastline and a sheer abundance of incredible wildlife, it is a nature lover’s dream. Encounter sea lions, koalas, an overwhelming number of bird species and, of course, kangaroos.
Venturing further inland, you’ll reach the outback. Visit the Flinders Ranges, exploring on foot, by 4×4, or even from the sky in an incredible flight over the mountain range. Coober Pedy is also fascinating. Half the population of this mining town live in underground dugouts, providing respite from the intense summer heat.
No trip to South Australia is complete without visiting one of the state’s wine regions. Visit Barossa Valley, or the Adelaide Hills to sample some delicious wines and take in the scenery.
Melbourne
Melbourne is a characterful, cultural hub. Known for its art, music, theatre, sport and of course its coffee, Melbourne has no shortage of things to do. Immerse yourself in the city, wandering down cobbled laneways, discovering street art and sampling some of the city’s many independent cafés and eateries.
From Melbourne, you can visit Phillip Island. With miles of stunning coastline, you can explore the island’s scenery by day, whilst you excitedly anticipate the nightly Penguin Parade.
Victoria
Amongst the stunning national parks and charming country towns lie historic goldfields. Step back in time, panning for gold at Sovereign Hill historic village.
For stunning vineyard and cellar doors explore the Yarra Valley. Luxuriate in one of the region’s boutique hotels, and enjoy at the rolling hills of the surrounding countryside.
For one of the most iconic road trips in Australia, drive the Great Ocean Road. Marvel at the towering Twelve Apostles and explore hidden coves on this breathtaking 243km of coastline.
Tasmania
Tasmania is a haven for adventure lovers. Explore unspoilt national parks, and relics of the island’s convict past.
Explore characterful Hobart, the state capital, visiting the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) and marvel at panoramic views of the city from Mount Wellington.
Take incredible hikes at Cradle Mountain National Park, and meet the resident wombats and Tasmanian devils.
On Tasmania’s East Coast, admire the orange, lichen-dusted rocks at the Bay of Fires, and visit Freycinet National Park for breathtaking views of Wineglass Bay.
