Peggy’s Cove, a small fishing village an hour’s drive from Halifax, Nova Scotia, has been an artists’ and explorers’ paradise for well over 150 years.

This picture-postcard village, on the rugged Atlantic shoreline, stands on solid, granite rock above the crashing surf. Its lighthouse is thought to be one of the most photographed in Canada.

This afternoon Peggy’s Cove tour includes return transportation from Halifax, and free time to explore the village, lighthouse and surrounding walking trails.

There are several several cafes, restaurants and gift shops in Peggy’s Cove, as well as the charming William deGarthe Art Gallery.
