If you’re heading out for a day of discovery, the local area has much to offer, not least the Bay of Fundy itself, renowned not only for its tides but also for dinosaur fossils and rare whales. Take in breathtaking views of the shoreline on a whale-watching cruise, go hiking, beachcombing, kayaking or for a little cultural interest, pop into the Admiral Digby Museum which houses a fascinating collection of artefacts relating to the town’s history.

Or if you’re here for the golf, the resort offers one of Canada’s finest courses just minutes away. Designed by the famous Canadian architect Stanley Thompson, this stimulating 18-hole course winds its way through picturesque pine trees and over a meandering brook. Alternatively, if you fancy a little ‘me’ time, stroll around the craft shops and galleries close by, pull up a sun lounger alongside the resort’s sparkling outdoor pool, or enjoy some serious pampering at the luxurous spa.

The rooms in the main, Norman-style lodge are spacious and refined and the 1-bedroom cottages feature separate living rooms, fireplaces and verandas – a lovely spot for a nightcap perhaps! Both offer garden views.

For breakfast, lunch or dinner, there’s a white-tablecloth restaurant overlooking the bay, or head over to the clubhouse for a more casual snack and to take in the spectacular views of the golf course.
