Open seasonally, the Lodge is positioned perfectly for exploring everything that Cape Breton has to offer – white sand, rugged coastline, rolling waves – whether you walk the beach or stroll the boardwalk, the scenery is endless.

Hire mountain bikes from Reception, order one of their picnics and you’re all set for a day of adventure. The Cabot Trail skirts Cape Breton Highlands National Park, whose Skyline Trail footpath overlooks the Gulf of St. Lawrence, known for migratory whales.

Or if you fancy staying put for the day, take advantage of the beach on the private waterfront.

The rooms in the Main Lodge are spacious and have the best lake views – centrally located on the property they are closest to the pool and the restaurant. They are a welcome haven after an exciting day of exploration – don’t forget to pop to the observation deck to take in the stunning panoramic lake-views with binoculars – a wonderful spot to end the day.
