With depots in all major locations, you can pick up your pre-booked car and simply hit the open road in search of adventure. This beautiful, ever changing landscape will leave you awestruck – just be sure to plan in some stops along the way.
Designed for You
Our flexible self drive holidays are designed with convenience and flexibility in mind. The pre-planned route will help you get the most out of your trip to Canada but there is always more to see. You can add extra nights at any of the stops along the route, or if none of the routes are right for you, you can design your very own itinerary to suit your needs – speak to your Freedom travel consultant who will be happy to help you design your own.
Car Hire
Car hire in Canada is easy – you can pick up your car at many downtown or airport locations around Canada, returning it to the same or another depot at the end of your trip. Canadians drive on the right but their roads are wide, well maintained and well signposted. Simply enjoy the freedom of the open road and soak up the scenery.
A UK licence is all you need and rules are similar to our own. Speed limits are shown in kilometres and, if you are planning to drive through Quebec, it is worth brushing up on your French to make the signs a little more understandable!
Add a City Stay
Most of our self drives start and finish in larger cities and you can stay here for a few extra nights before or after your tour, with or without your car – a great chance to see the sights and live the experience. Simply tell your FREEDOM Consultant how many nights you would like to stay.
