Description
Begin your full day tour to the beautiful French inspired seaside village with a coach transfer from your Christchurch accommodation.
On the way to Akaroa you will stop at Sign of the Takahe, Sign of the Kiwi, Governers Bay, Gebbies Pass, Lake Forsyth and Little River, then at Hill Top for panoramic views of Akaroa Harbour.
Sample the local French-inspired produce with a visit to the cheese factory at Barry’s Bay followed by lunch at Bully Hayes restaurant.
After lunch, board your vessel Canterbury Cat to commence a two hour Akaroa Harbour Cruise. Explore Akaroa Harbour and spot dolphins, penguins and seals.
Afterwards, re-board your coach for the return journey to Christchurch. Along the way, the driver stops at Birdling Flat on the Kaitorete Spit for commanding views of the southern facing cliffs of Banks Peninsula.
Tour concludes at approximately 17:00, at which time hotel drop-offs will commence.
