Your experience begins with a scenic six hour transfer from Queenstown on a luxury coach. Travel through Te Anau and along the winding Milford Road and through the Homer Tunnel to your departure wharf. Board the Milford Mariner and settle into your private cabin with ensuite facilities before cruising passed the fiord’s spectacular waterfalls, rainforests, mountain ranges, all the while looking out for some the Sound’s marine wildlife in the form of penguins, seals and even playful dolphins.

There is ample opportunity to explore the shoreline as the Mariner anchors in a sheltered cove. Take an excursion on a small tender vessel or try your hand at kayaking through the calm waters.

As the sun sets and the day boats head back to shore the Milford Mariner will be the only boat in the Sound allowing you to truly take in the magnificence and silence of the scene before you. Enjoy a delicious carvery buffet dinner before joining your fellow crew mates for some star gazing on deck or choose to relax in the comfort of your cabin.

After a restful nights sleep awake to sunrise on the Sound before a hearty breakfast and further exploration of the fiord, heading out to the mouth of the Tasman Sea.
