Your admission includes full access to New Zealand’s most historic site, including all heritage buildings and the world’s largest ceremonial war canoe, entry to Te Kōngahu Museum of Waitangi, Te Rau Aroha Museum (the theme of the museum’s main exhibition is the Price of Citizenship), a 50 minute guided tour and a 30 minute cultural performance.
The Waitangi treaty house is the setting for where the The Treaty of Waitangi, the document that established the British Colony of New Zealand, was signed on the 6 February 1840. Steeped in history, the site will educate you on the birth of a nation and how its foundations established the country and its culture to this day.
