Your Itinerary

Day 1 – Christchurch

Arrive into New Zealand’s South Island and the gateway city of Christchurch. On arrival you will be greeted and transferred to the motorhome depot for your introduction and debrief in regard to your new home on wheels! Take time to explore this quaint and evolving city choosing to spend the night here or even venture to the surrounding Canterbury Plains.

Day 3 - Kaikoura

Travel north along the East Coast to one of the country’s most picture-perfect coastal towns. Kaikoura is framed by the towering Kaikoura Ranges and sits idyllically on its own peninsula lapped by the Pacific Ocean. The town is a haven for marine and bird life – whale watching is a must, and you will no doubt get a glimpse of the local sealions and dolphin pods who have made this region their home.

Day 4 – Nelson

Follow the coast to the tip of the South Island and find yourself in the Abel Tasman National Park – a walker’s paradise! There are well established walking trails, beaches and crystal-clear waters perfect for spotting the playful sealions who inhabit this region.

Day 5 – Hokitika

It is time to begin your drive down the rugged West Coast. Break the journey at the gold mining town of Westport, or the stacked Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki before journeying on to Hokitika, famed for its craft workshops creating fine works made from New Zealand’s Jade stone.

Day 6 - 9 – Queenstown

Spend 3 nights in New Zealand’s adventure capital. This hugely popular resort town plays host to an array of activities – from luxury spa treatments to bungee jumping. An extended stay here will also give you the opportunity to explore the Fiordland National Park which is where you will find the iconic Milford Sound.

Day 10 – Dunedin

Travel over the high alpine mountains of Otago to the Scottish settlement of Dunedin. Marvel at the nearby dramatic coastline or explore New Zealand’s only castle, Larnach Castle.

Day 11 – Oamaru

On your way back to Christchurch, break up the journey in Oamaru to soak in the scenic hot tubs, marvel at the Moeraki Boulders or watch the natural phenomenon of the blue penguin colony returning from sea to their nests at night.

Day 12 – Christchurch

Spend your final night in Christchurch surrounded by the Canterbury Plains before returning your motorhome to the depot before being transferred back to the airport for your onward flight.
