Arrive into the vibrant city of Cairns in far North Queensland – the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and rainforest carpeted mountain ranges.

There is time to enjoy a day tour to the Kuranda Rainforest which can be accessed via an impressive SkyRail journey over the Rainforest canopy, and a return journey on the scenic rail as it meanders through the valley.

Located just 40 minutes from Cairns Marina, this fringing reef island boasts some excellent rainforest walking trails, a turtle rehabilitation centre and the opportunity to snorkel the reef directly off the beach.

Return to Cairns for one final night. Walk the lively Esplanade and explore the nightly markets, or enjoy one of the many dining options overlooking the harbour.

Fly from Cairns to Queensland second largest city, Townsville. The city, offers beautiful beaches, parks, and the scenic Castle Hill, which provides panoramic views of the area.

Board the 20 minute ferry journey to Magnetic Island for a two night stay. The island features a range of activities, including hiking through its national park, which is home to koalas, rock wallabies, and a variety of bird species. Popular beaches like Horseshoe Bay and Arcadia offer opportunities for swimming, snorkelling, and kayaking.

On returning to Townsville, it is time to fly to Brisbane to prepare for the start of the second Ashes Test.

This is the first time since 1982 that Brisbane has not played host to the opening Test, but instead the Gabba is now the setting for the day/night test experience for 2025.

Spend three nights here enjoying some of the many activities on offer including sand tobogganing, quad biking, scenic helicopter flights, sand safaris and not to be missed is the opportunity to hand feed the local pod of dolphins who visit the shore each evening.
