Arrive into Perth for the start of the hugely anticipated 2025/26 NRMA Insurance Ashes Series.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure to get your bearings and explore this amazing city. You can choose to stroll along the banks of the Swan River, sample some of the best food in Australia, and take in the spectacular elevated views from the Botanic Gardens in Kings Park.
You can make the Test Match extra special by attending the official pre-match event, where past cricketers will give a flavour of what it is like to play in an Ashes Test, and preview what to expect over the next few days.
Day 2 to 6 – 1st NRMA Insurance Ashes Test Match
The 1st NRMA Insurance Ashes Test Match begins at the new Optus Stadium in Perth. We have secured you official tickets for all five days, alongside your choice of hotel accommodation in the city.
The first delivery of every Ashes Test Series is always memorable. Whether it is a wicket, a boundary or a wide, it will be replayed for years to come. You can witness it first hand at the new Optus Stadium. With a crowd of 60,000 and two teams anxious to do well, there will be an amazing atmosphere throughout the Test Match.
Your Ashes cricket package includes hotel accommodation and tickets to every day of the NRMA Insurance Ashes Test Match (All Day 5 tickets will include General Admission only, with unreserved seating).

Day 7 & 8 – Discover Perth
Following the excitement of the Test Match, spend the next couple of days exploring Perth and the surrounding area.
You may like to take the train to Fremantle, a vibrant coastal city just south of Perth, known for its rich maritime history and well-preserved 19th-century architecture. During your visit embark on a two-hour walking tour to hear tales of its murky convict past, rich local street art and Indigenous history.
We also highly recommend a day trip across to Rottnest Island. In just 45 minutes you will be transported from the skyscrapers of the city to the beautiful beaches and unique wildlife of this amazing island. Walk to the lighthouse for panoramic views of jump in the bus to be transported to deserted beaches on the far side of the island.
Day 9 to 13 – Discover Sydney
Before the next Test Match there is time to explore a little more of Australia. Return to Perth Airport to switch Australia’s west coast for the east coast, and the sparkling city of Sydney.
Collect your bags and transfer independently to your pre-booked hotel in downtown Sydney. Over the next five days you will be able to view the iconic sights of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge (and maybe climb it too!). You can also try your hand at surfing or maybe just relax on the sands of Bondi or Manly.
The city can be easily explored by foot, but to gain a unique vantage point, there is nothing quite like catching a ferry or enjoying a leisurely cruise around the famous harbour.
We also recommend exploring beyond the city limits. To make the most of this time we recommend joining a tour to the Blue Mountains or the vineyards of the Hunter Valley.
Day 14 – Welcome to Brisbane
The next Test Match is nearing so return to Sydney Airport to fly up the eastern coast to the capital of Queensland, Brisbane.
After checking in to your chosen hotel in the centre of Brisbane, the rest of the day is free to explore the city, perhaps taking a wander along the South Bank and cross the Storey Bridge to the Howard Smith Wharves, where there are many bars and restaurants, perfect for a pre-Test match meal.
Day 15 to 19 – 2nd NRMA Insurance Ashest Test Match
You could choose to begin your Test Match experience with lunch at the official pre-Test Match function, at the Rydges Hotel on the South Bank. You will be joined by special guests and some cricketing greats to preview the Brisbane Test Match. A coach will then transfer you to the stadium ready for the start of play.
The historic Gabba Stadium will be hosting the only Day/Night Test Match of the NRMA Insurance Ashes Series, and England will be hoping to gain a crucial victory at a venue which has not seen Australia beaten since 1988 – could this be the year?
Your Ashes cricket package includes hotel accommodation and tickets to every day of the NRMA Insurance Ashes Test Match (All Day 5 tickets will include General Admission only, with unreserved seating).

Day 20 – Explore Brisbane
Following the action of the last few days you may wish to relax a little and spend some time on the South Bank by the beach.
For those preferring to explore more, Brisbane City Hall, now home to the Museum of Brisbane, is probably the most iconic historic landmark in the city centre. It is possible to join a free guided tour of the building, including the chance to go up the clocktower.
For those after a little retail therapy, nearby Queen Street has high street brands and Eagle Street Pier designer shops and award-winning dining. Nearby, Birrunga Gallery has a wonderful collection of local indigenous Australian art, whilst the riverside City Botanic Gardens, offer a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.
Day 21 to 24 – Australia’s Red Centre
This morning return to Brisbane Airport for a change in scenery. Leave the bug cities behind as your fly to Ayers Rock Airport in the heart of Australia’s Red Centre.
On arrival at the airport collect your car and drive to Ayers Rock Resort, from where you will be able to take in the incredible colours of Uluru at both sunrise and sunset.
From Uluru it is only a short drive to Kata-Tjuta (formerly known at The Olgas) where you wander through the red boulders that mysteriously rise out of the desert.
To complete the trilogy of natural monuments, drive through the outback to Kings Canyon, the deepest gorge in the Red Centre. Here you can take on the challenging, but spectacular Rim Walk, or choose the easier stroll along the boulder strewn canyon floor.
Your final drive takes you to the oasis of Alice Springs. This old telegraph station town tells the story of living in the outback through its museum and the Royal Flying Doctor Service and School of Air.
Day 25 to 27 – Welcome to Adelaide
The Adelaide Test Match is just around the corner, so this morning’s flight takes you south to “The City of Churches”.
In the days leading up to the Ashes Test, explore Adelaide’s colourful laneways and attractions. Wander through the lush Adelaide Botanic Garden and enjoy cultural treasures at the Art Gallery of South Australia.
Stroll along Rundle Mall for shopping or relax at a café in Rundle Street East. Food lovers can savour local flavors at the bustling Adelaide Central Market. For a touch of history, visit the South Australian Museum or the charming North Terrace precinct.
Evenings can be spent dining at renowned restaurants or discovering hidden laneway bars. Adelaide’s compact layout makes it easy to enjoy its charm before the next Test Match.
If you wish to add something extra to your Test Match experience, then you could choose to add the official pre-match function at the Hilton Adelaide on the day before the Test Match. As well as snacks and drinks, this event will include a selection of celebrities and past cricketers who will give an insight into playing at the Adelaide Oval and preview the action.
Day 28 to 32 – 3rd NRMA Insurance Ashes Test Match
All eyes now turn to the Adelaide Oval for the 3rd NRMA Insurance Ashes Test Match. As well as your chosen hotel, we have secured you official tickets for all five days of the Test Match.
The Adelaide Oval is known for its picturesque setting and excellent pitch conditions. It has hosted numerous memorable Ashes matches since its first encounter in 1884. Traditionally the Adelaide Oval pitch is flat and good for batting, so expect some high scores and perhaps a decisive match in the series.
Your Ashes cricket package includes hotel accommodation and tickets to every day of the NRMA Insurance Ashes Test Match (All Day 5 tickets will include General Admission only, with unreserved seating).
