Description
Start the day by being picked up at your Hervey Bay accommodation by the return transfer. Arrive in River Heads and board the ferry for the 50 minute cruise across to World Heritage Listed K’gari (formerly Fraser Island) to commence a full day, ranger-guided tour.
Upon arrival at Wanggoolba Creek, learn about the natural and cultural history of K’gari with the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear, blue waters of Lake McKenzie.
After lunch at K’gari Beach Resort, enjoy an exhilarating 4WD Drive along Seventy-Five Mile beach, pausing to float down the fresh waters of Eli Creek. This swift-flowing creek, the largest on The Eastern Beach, spills millions of litres of fresh water into the ocean every day.
Next, visit the wreck of the Maheno and marvel at the coloured sands of the Pinnacles. At the end of the day, return to Wanggoolba Creek to board the ferry back and be transferred to Hervey Bay.
