Terms and Conditions

You must be over 21 and have a full driving licence. On collecting your motorhome, you will be asked to sign the hire company’s own terms and conditions of hire making the rental subject to a direct contract between each driver and the hire company. A credit card bond will be taken to cover additional costs such as fuel and optional services.

All prices include insurance subject to up to a $5000 excess for each accident. The insurance will not cover damage caused by negligence, loss or damage to personal property or damage to windscreen or tyres.  A bond is payable by credit card on pickup to cover excess charges. Motorhomes may only be driven on sealed roads.

Additional Surcharges

A $200 location fee applies for rentals into or out of Queenstown. A $100 one way fee applies when travelling from Auckland to Christchurch or Queenstown between April and September and $250 from October to March. A $150 one way fee applies when travelling from Christchurch or Queenstown to Auckland from November to March.

For one way hires from Christchurch to Queenstown or vice versa, a $50 charge applies April to September and $75 from October to March. One way fees are payable locally.

Up to $50 gas refill fee and a 2% credit card fee are also payable locally.

There is a $2 per day charge for each additional driver (max charged $30).

Rates include unlimited kilometres.

Length of Hire

Minimum rental 7 days, or 14 days from 24 Dec- 8 Jan. Minimum rental period is 10 days when a vehicle is being collected from the North Island and is being returned to the South Island if the rental commences between the months of October through to March.
