Departing Anchorage, the train follows the stunning Turnagain Arm, where the Chugach Mountains rise steeply from the sea. After a stop in Girdwood, the route heads into the remote backcountry, offering some of the most breathtaking scenery on Alaska’s Railbelt. The train arrives in Seward late morning, right on the shores of Resurrection Bay, before returning to Anchorage via Girdwood.
