Your Rail Journey
The Denali Star is the Alaska Railroad’s flagship train, running daily in summer between Anchorage and Fairbanks. This 12-hour, 356-mile journey stops in Wasilla, Talkeetna, and Denali National Park. On clear days, passengers are treated to views of Denali—North America’s tallest peak.
The route features a variety of landscapes: the Chugach Mountains near the Knik River, Denali rising above the Susitna River, and remote wilderness north of Talkeetna, including the dramatic Hurricane Gulch Bridge. Near Denali, Broad Pass offers sweeping views of the Alaska Range, while Healy Canyon showcases the winding Nenana River.
Adventure Class
