Arrive into Brisbane just before the start of the 2nd Test Match of the 2025/26 NRMA Insurance Ashes Series.

After checking in to your chosen hotel in the centre of Brisbane, the rest of the day is free to explore the city, perhaps taking a wander along the South Bank and cross the Storey Bridge to the Howard Smith Wharves, where there are many bars and restaurants, perfect for a pre-Test match meal.

You could choose to begin your Test Match experience with lunch at the official pre-Test Match function, at the Rydges Hotel on the South Bank. You will be joined by special guests and some cricketing greats to preview the Brisbane Test Match. A coach will then transfer you to the stadium ready for the start of play.

The historic Gabba Stadium will be hosting the only Day/Night Test Match of the NRMA Insurance Ashes Series, and England will be hoping to gain a crucial victory at a venue which has not seen Australia beaten since 1988 – could this be the year?

Time to hit the beach! The Sunshine Coast stretches from just north of Brisbane to the Noosa River and southern rip of K’gari. This stretch of coastline hosts some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches, as well as National Parks and wildlife.

After collecting your car in Brisbane it is an easy two hour drive to Noosa, ‘Jewel of the Sunshine Coast’. The coastal route passes through Mooloolaba and several other seaside towns. A two night stay in Noosa will give you plenty of time to explore the region. You can cruise or kayak through the famous Noosa Everglades or relax on the resort’s pristine beaches, and in the evening head to Hastings Street for a tempting choice of bars and restaurants.

You leave Noosa behind as you drive north to K’gari, formerly Fraser Island.

The ferry terminal for K’gari is at Hervey Bay. Look out for dolphins and whales as you cross over to the island for a two night stay at the excellent Eco Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Despite being the largest sand island in the world, K’gari is mostly clad in pristine rainforest and contains several freshwater lakes. There are no paved roads, so we have included an exciting, full day 4×4 tour.

On your return to Brisbane you can stop overnight in the impressive Glass House Mountains National Park, where there are easy walking trails through the forest covered mountains.

Switch Queensland for South Australia by boarding your domestic flight from Brisbane to Adelaide.

Adelaide boasts some amazing food and wine venues, lush green parklands and the golden sands of Glenelg Beach within an easy tram ride from the city centre.

In the build up to the 3rd NRMA Insurance Ashes Test Match you can wander through the lush Adelaide Botanic Garden and enjoy cultural treasures at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Stroll along Rundle Mall for shopping or relax at a café in Rundle Street East. Food lovers can savor local flavors at the bustling Adelaide Central Market. For a touch of history, visit the South Australian Museum or the charming North Terrace precinct.

All eyes now turn to the Adelaide Oval for the 3rd NRMA Insurance Ashes Test Match. As well as your chosen hotel, we have secured you official tickets for all five days of the Test Match.

Traditionally the Adelaide Oval pitch is flat and good for batting, so expect some high scores and perhaps a decisive match in the series.

If you wish to add something extra to your Test Match experience, then you could choose to add the official pre-match function at the Hilton Adelaide on the day before the Test Match. As well as snacks and drinks, this event will include a selection of celebrities and past cricketers who will give an insight into playing at the Adelaide Oval and preview the action.

The excitement doesn’t stop when the cricket finishes, as you can now visit Kangaroo Island, the jewel in South Australia’s crown, Kangaroo Island.

You will be collected and transferred by coach from Adelaide to Cape Jervis for the ferry across to Kangaroo Island. Once on the island you will be escorted around the island over the next two days by an expert guide, who will show you pristine beaches, a wealth of Australian wildlife, and stunning national parkland. You will visit Seal Bay to walk alongside their famous residents on the beach, and then walk through the forests of Flinders Chase National Park, looking out for koalas, echidnas and platypus.

At the end of your stay you will be return by ferry and coach back to Adelaide.

Spending Christmas in Adelaide offers a blend of festive charm and summer fun. The city comes alive with dazzling Christmas lights displays, including the magical Adelaide Christmas Pageant and decorated streets like King William Road.
