After a relaxing stop for lunch near Parksville, visit the quirky and beloved Coombs Market, famous for the goats that live on its grass-covered roof.

In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in the charming coastal town of Ucluelet, where you’ll check into your oceanfront resort. Spend the evening exploring nearby trails and beaches, soaking in the natural beauty of Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast.

Today, depart for the coastal town of Tofino, where you’ll have the full day to explore at your own pace or take part in optional activities like whale watching or kayaking — we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot. You can also join your guide for a leisurely hike to Tonquin Beach, a scenic trail easily accessible from downtown.

In the afternoon, stop at the iconic Long Beach on the way back to Ucluelet. The evening is yours to relax at the oceanfront resort, or if conditions allow, join your guide for a cosy campfire and marshmallow roast at Big Beach, just a short walk from your accommodation.

After checking out of your hotel, begin your day with a visit to the Wild Pacific Trail. This stunning coastal walk offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and ends at a historic, working lighthouse — a perfect finale to your west coast adventure.

From there, travel back across the island to Nanaimo to catch the ferry to the mainland. You’ll arrive back in downtown Vancouver at Canada Place around 9:00pm, depending on traffic.
