Toronto, Niagara Falls & Ontario Travel Guide

Ontario is home to two of Canada’s biggest and most popular cities, Toronto and Ottawa as well as the mighty Niagara Falls.

Ontario’s capital Toronto also has the impressive CN Tower, once the world’s tallest man-made structure. The capital, Ottawa offers a wealth of experiences including Ontario’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Rideau Canal.

Ontario is also known for its natural splendours including vast forests, beautiful provincial parks, four of the five Great Lakes and the world famous Niagara Falls.

Further afield, Algonquin Park is home to forests, lakes, rivers, moose and bears and offers great outdoor adventures. A cruise around the stunning 1000 islands from Kingston will leave you speechless.

Getting There

Ontario is located in east central Canada, with 13 diverse regions and a border with the US.

By Air – Many airlines offer non-stop flights from major UK airports to Toronto or Ottawa. Flight time from the UK is approximately 7 hours. Toronto is around a 1 hour flight from Ottawa.

By Road – Toronto and Ottawa are a 4 hour 30 minute drive apart. From Toronto, Niagara Falls is around 1 hour 30 minutes away, whilst Algonquin Provincial Park is about 3 hours from Ottawa.
