Day 2 – Montreal
Discover hundreds of places of interest in Montreal including the Notre Dame Basilica, Montreal’s French Quarter, the Olympic Site, McGill University and a panoramic view from an observation point on top of Mont Royal. Montreal offers a fascinating mix of both French and English cultures. You may wish to join a walking or biking tour of the city, a sightseeing cruise or simply explore the city at your own pace.

Day 3 – Quebec City
Today you will trace the St. Lawrence River as you head north to Quebec City. The slower Route 138 takes you off the mundane highways in order to experience rural Quebec and the remaining farms from the seigneurial regime. Along the way, pass through Trois-Rivieres, one of the first European settlements dating back to 1634 and the point from which French explorers embarked on their North American discovery.

Day 4 – Quebec City

The Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham, Ramparts, world famous Château Frontenac, National Assembly, Basilica, City Hall, Place-Royale, Citadelle and a glimpse of modern Quebec City are the perfect introduction to the city.
Option 2. A Fabulous Country Tour
Travel back in time to rural Quebec along the Chemin du Roy to SainteAnne-de-Beaupré. Here you will be given time to see the world-famous Shrine and Montmorency Falls before visiting the Island of Orléans. Discovered by Jacques Cartier in 1535, the picturesque village of Sainte-Pétronille has a 19th century rural atmosphere waiting to be rediscovered.
Option 3. Foodie Walking Tour of Quebec City
Throughout the years, the food of Quebec has been influenced by Amerindian, British and French cuisines. Treat yourself to a behind-the-scenes experience of Quebec City, discovering its gastronomy and culinary history by taking part in five exclusive tasting presentations.

Day 5 – La Malbaie
Depart today to La Malbaie, in Quebec’s beautiful Charlevoix region. Take time to explore the scenic area, the beauty of which has inspired generations of artists. Along the way, you may stop to visit the Sainte Anne de Beaupré shrine.

Day 6 – La Baie
This morning you will embark on a whale watching tour. In Tadoussac, at the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord, you will board the vessel where an experienced naturalist will explain the habits of the Finback, Minke and Beluga whales that frequent this region during the summer. In the afternoon continue along the beautiful Saguenay Fjord to the small city of La Baie.

Day 7 – Saguenay & Lac St. Jean
Today is yours to visit the attractions of the region. Choose from Zoo Sauvage de Saint-Felicien, the Historical Village of Val-Jalbert or one of the many other cultural, outdoor and sporting activities that this area has to offer.

Day 8 – Riviėre-du-Loup
Depart La Baie for Saint-Simeon to catch the ferry to Riviėre-du-Loup (payable locally). Crossing the St. Lawrence River takes around 75 minutes.
Depending on your arrival time, your could explore the Parcs des Chutes in the middle Riviėre-du-Loup, where there is a 33 metre waterfall, 9 km of hiking trails and scenic views over the city and St. Lawrence River.

Day 9 – Eastern Townships
Today you will travel to Quebec’s Eastern Townships region. You have the opportunity to visit the small chocolate museum in Bromont along the way. Maybe you would like to stop at the L’Orpailleur Winery in Dumham, approximately 30 km south of Bromont. Continue to Knowlton, a Victorian style town. Check into your accommodation. In the evening, you may just walk around this lovely town and relax in one of the cafés or restaurants.
