Description
Jozani Forest is approximately 2,500 hectares and one of the last remaining sanctuaries in the world for the rare Red Colobus Monkey. You will have the unique opportunity to view and photograph these captivating primates as you walk along the nature trail that winds through the tropical forest of eucalyptus and mahogany trees. A knowledgeable guide will be on hand to explain how Zanzibar’s wildlife evolved in isolation from the mainland and to point out the fascinating flora and fauna.
Enjoy a change of scene with some time spent exploring the mangrove boardwalk where you may be able to spot tropical fish and crabs amongst the partially submerged roots in this unique ecosystem.
