When entering the Oak Alley Plantation, you are greeted by a stunning avenue of canopied 250-year-old knotty and twisted oak trees that line the driveway. A backdrop that has appeared in countless movies, TV shows and music videos.

This country B&B can be used as a base for discovering other historic plantations, exploring the swamps, immersing yourself in the local culture, or simply stay put and enjoy the lush grounds and watch the mighty Mississippi River roll by. And of course, take a tour of the ‘Big House’ to explore the opulent rooms of this classic southern home.

Guests can stay in one of the century-old cottages or a newly constructed cottage in the grounds, close to the ‘Big House’. These self-contained cottages are simply and comfortably furnished and have everything you need for a relaxing stay – some have a hot tub and sundeck. As evening meals are not available, the kitchens are sufficiently equipped for simple self-catering.

Cottages are air conditioned with ceiling fans, WiFi, hair dryer, ironing equipment, coffee maker, microwave oven and fridge. Most have cable TV.
