Enjoy breakfast before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Churchill. On arrival, check in at your lodge and take some time to settle in before sitting down to a delicious buffet lunch.

This afternoon, set out on part one of the Churchill Heritage Tour, discovering the fascinating history and culture of this unique northern town. This evening, savour locally inspired cuisine over dinner at the popular Lazy Bear Café.

Today you’ll embark on your first Tundra Buggy adventure. After meeting your expert driver for a safety briefing, set off into the Churchill Wildlife Management Area in search of Arctic foxes, Arctic hare, camouflaged ptarmigan and other wildlife. As you travel across the vast tundra, your guide will position the buggy for the best viewing opportunities, giving you time to take photos and admire the remarkable Arctic landscape from the outdoor viewing deck.

Later, weather permitting, enjoy an unforgettable dog mushing experience, including a one mile sled ride. Learn how the dogs are trained and listen to entertaining stories about life on the trail. After a day of Arctic adventure, return to your lodge and relax over dinner.

This morning will take you to Churchill and the surrounding areas to explore the various historic sites including Cape Merry, an outside tour of the Polar Bear Jail, the famous plane crash site of “Miss Piggy” and many others that make Churchill the town it is today.

In the afternoon, explore the town on your own. You can visit the Itsanitaq Museum, the Parks Canada Museum, Town Complex, and gift shops with local Inuit art that Churchill has to offer.

Return to the lodge for your final night in Churchill, the Northern Lights make an appearance approximately 300 nights of the year, so if weather permits, there will also be an opportunity to see them.

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy your final day in Churchill out on the tundra in the CWMA. Your will learn about the polar bears and explore the area where the polar bears wait for the winter icepack to freeze the Hudson Bay. Curious and far from shy, the bears will sometimes come right alongside the vehicles to sneak a peak at their visitors. Enjoy dinner before your transfer to the airport for your flight back to Winnipeg and check into your airport hotel.
