On the second day you’ll have two options for day trips; an adventurous jungle trek or a relaxing cruise along the mangroves.

Jungle Trek – The Cardamom Tour (November to April only)

After an early breakfast, the boat will take you to Tatai to meet your guide. You will arrive at the entry point to the rainforest at 9am by motorbike and your guided jungle trek will then begin! At around 11.30am you will have a stop when you reach the Bat Cave and at around 1pm you will arrive at the first waterfalls where you will have your picnic lunch. You can enjoy a refreshing dip at the waterfalls and at 2pm the trek will continue. At around 4pm you will reach the second waterfalls and from there return to the exit point. At around 6pm your motorbike driver will pick you up and the boat transfer leaves at 6.30pm for your return to the hotel.

River Cruise – Lost in the Mangrove (year round)

After a relaxed breakfast, you will head off from camp to experience the natural splendours in the area. Depending on the tide, you will cruise deep into the mangroves to experience a rare glimpse of life among the fishing communities that live off the natural bounty of this watery paradise.

Drinks will be served en route as you glide down the waterway to a fishing village, where you will spend time with the friendly locals. While the men tend their boats, the womenfolk patiently mend their nets whilst children play tag and football in the narrow alleyways between the stilt houses.

A BBQ lunch on the beach will be served after visiting a pagoda, school and a few villager’s homes. Back on the boat, you will experience the pure magic of life among the mangroves from kayaks before heading back to camp.
