This morning your driver will collect you and your fellow travellers from the hotel in Kuala Lumpur hotel for a drive to Labu Sentral Jetty. From here change transportation into a boat for an exciting 1.5hr cruise through jungle scenery where you can keep an eye out for wildlife as you head towards Taman Negara. On arrival at Kuala Tahan, it is then just a short hop across the river to your hotel for the next two nights.
The Mutiara Taman Negara has the ideal location being the only accommodation within the national park. Immersed in rainforest and overlooking the Tembeling and Tahan Rivers, this eco-resort offers characterful en suite chalets with air conditioning.
This evening discover how the jungle comes alive at night on a jungle walk. Learn about nocturnal plants and insects and savour a chance to spot animals up close at the Observation Hide including Sambar deer, mouse deer & porcupine, if you are lucky.

Take in the area’s outstanding natural beauty on a guided hike up the 334m Teresek Hill for panoramic views of the forest canopy and Gunung Tahan, peninsular Malaysia’s highest mountain. Afterwards, cross the Canopy Walkway which at 530 metres long is one of the world’s longest, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the forest from dizzying heights 40 metres up. This is a nature lover’s paradise and in the company of an expert guide you will learn a little about the fascinating and fragile ecosystem of the region.
In the afternoon, board a boat for a cruise along the Tahan River to the cascading waterfall of Lata Berkoh where you will have the chance to swim in the clear waters of the fall. Along the way, stop by at gigantic Tualang tree and the Kelah fish Sanctuary for a chance to snorkel amongst fresh water fishes.
